    We get A LOT of inquiries regarding our beef shares because of our reputation for producing prime quality beef. If you have a little patience, then you can save your family 33% the cost of your beef. What’s even better is that your beef will be dry aged unlike anything you are going to find in the supermarket at these prices.

    This is the way it works:

    Our prices are as follows: Full Share: $2400, Half Share: $1400, Quarter Share: $800. We will enter into a contract with you. These prices include ALL costs and the care of your animal until it is taken to processing.

    All of these cows are less than 22 months of age. They all weigh 1000lbs to 1200lbs now. Because of the heat during the summer months, we recommend the animals be processed between September and October to give a chance for the animal to be completely finished and well marbled.

    Once the animal approaches your target weight (We recommend anywhere from 1200lbs to 1400lbs), then we schedule the animal to be processed. I will work with you to create the perfect cut order to suit you and your families needs. Whether you are a steak aficionado who loves Tomahawks and Cowboy cuts or you have a family of 7 to feed, I know how to get you what you need out of your cow.

    We will transport your animal for you at no charge to one of three local processors. You choose who you want to deal with. You choose your cuts and hang time! The cost of processing is .69 to 1.00 per pound and is paid by you directly to the processor. We DO NOT get in between you and the processor.

    If you are out of State and need us to ship, we can hit all of the lower 48 States.  And… we’ll split the cost of shipping with you.  The average cost our customers pay to ship is around $200.00.

    Here is the breakdown of what an average 1200 pound steer yields:
    185 pounds lean trim, or ground beef
    85 pounds round roasts and steaks
    90 pounds chuck roasts and steaks
    80 pounds rib and loin steaks
    50 pounds other cuts (brisket, flank, short ribs, skirt steak)
    Total: 490 pounds of beef
    Conservative Retail Value: $3,920.00 – $4,410.00

    Whiskey Ridge Full Share Cost Example:
    $2400 for the beef share.
    $450 – $500 processing (Paid directly to the processor)
    Total: $2850 – $2900
    Meat Storage Requirements: Chest or Upright Freezer – 20 Cubic Feet

    Whiskey Ridge Half Share Cost Example:
    $1400 for the beef share.
    $250 processing (Paid directly to the processor)
    Total: $1650.00
    Meat Storage Requirements: Average Side by Side Refrigerator Freezer STUFFED or Small Chest/Upright Freezer – 10 Cubic Feet

    Whiskey Ridge Quarter Share Cost Example:
    $800 for the beef share.
    $125 processing (Paid directly to the processor)
    Total: $925.00
    Meat Storage Requirements: Average Side by Side/Over Under Refrigerator/Freezer with 5 – 7 cubic feet available.

    Remember, we stock Brangus, Braford, Charolais, Beefmaster, and Angus beef cattle. They are grass grazed and grain finished without feed through antibiotics, growth hormones, and steroids. If we assigned an average of $8.00 – $9.00 per pound, then it is more than $4,000 worth of local farm raised, grass grazed, and grain finished, drug free, aged beef for less than half of the price of the meat of comparable quality that you would pay for now in retail supermarkets or butcher shops.
